Background

Kevin Bole is a designer artist with a strong innovative streak.  You will see on this site, a variety of art subjects developed using media appropriate for the work at the time.

Studied Art and Design at the London School of Art in the late 1980's and awarded a Diploma for the course work successfully completed.

He resumed his passion for creativity and completed an in depth Art and Design course, 1999 - 2001 at the Open College for Art.

Having learnt the basics, he regards himself as a self-taught and developing artist.

Techniques

Kevin has mastered techniques that are appropriate for the subject matter being worked on at a given time. The use of brushes, knives, scrapers and  fingers are skillfully worked to give a visual impact unique to his personal style. Most of the images he creates have enough details to clarify each interpretation to the viewer.

Inspirations

Possessing a strong imagination, and being in tune with all around him, inspiration comes quite easy. The hard part is solving  the design brief given to him by these element and producing works of art that have a harmony and a narrative.

Influences

I have given my self the chance, to review all the art works that I have created over 40 years. Finding that my spiritual creative home lives in DADAISM, SURREALISM, and AUTOMATISM. Not being born when these movements were started, it shows that whatever an artist is doing today -  it has roots going way back.
